These are basic tools I’ve developed over the past few years that I thought might be useful for others. Feel free to edit and use however you like - these are available to you with NO WARRANTY whatsoever. YMMV. Remember, sharing is caring and friends don’t let other friends reinvent the design research wheel.
Research Plan - Communicate what you are doing and why. Share and get buy-in from others. This is the long form - it’s not right for every situation. Edit to fit your needs.
Site Visit Template - Communicate what you are bringing and what you need when you visit a site for research.
Crazy Rainbow Sheet - It’s a basic analysis tool on steroids. Probably overkill but I love it anyways. When I don’t have access to professional research tools, I’ve been known to use this sort of thing for almost everything.
